Amanda Shotsky is proud to represent America's Finest City as a Multimedia Journalist with San Diego 6.
After spending two years reporting for an NBC affiliate in Grand Junction, Colo., Amanda is happy to return to the beautiful Southern California coast. "The ocean is therapeutic!," she said.
Amanda has a variety of experience in the media industry. She's worked as an assistant at the SONY Pictures lot in Culver City and studied script analysis at Valhalla Motion Pictures.
Amanda attended San Diego State University where she earned degrees in broadcast journalism and women's studies. She got her start in the news industry at a San Diego station, working as a writer and producer for four years.
"Being able to engage with my community, talk to people and tell the stories that really make a difference is truly an honor," Amanda said.
In her free time Amanda teaches a cooking and skills class at The Salvation Army.
She also enjoys running marathons, attending local events, traveling, cooking and eating great food, going to the beach with her rescue dog, Kona, and spending time with family and friends.
