Kimi Evans returns to SanDiego 6 News as the morning meteorologist/traffic reporter. Kimi studied at USC and then earned her broadcast meteorology certificate from Mississippi State University.
She previously worked as a weather anchor for CBS/KCAL in Los Angeles (where she grew up) and the Fox station in Hawaii (where Kimi was born). She took two years off to open a couple of pilates and indoor cycling studios and is excited to be back at the station! Kimi manages to juggle her businesses and forecasting the weather, along with her volunteer efforts with the Junior League of San Diego, the Japanese American Citizens League, youth mentoring and her church.
She's thrilled to be forecasting the weather and looks forward to getting more involved in the community! Be sure to find her on Facebook since she considers it one of her hobbies. She particularly enjoys showing the behind-the-scenes happenings at San Diego 6 News!
