"Kid's Health", hosted by Dr. Anthony Magit, MD and Dr. Anna Mendenhall, MD, is brought to you by
Children's Physicians Medical Group (CPMG). CPMG is a San Diego pediatric group providing medical expertise and a focus solely on pediatric care. With over 370 pediatricians and pediatric specialists located throughout San Diego and southern Riverside, CPMG
has a physician located near you. CPMG is a network of pediatric physicians that works with all major commercial
HMO Plans, to provide seamless pediatric care from pediatrician to specialist to hospital care at Rady Children's Hospital-San Diego. The group is proud to provide highly-trained pediatricians and pediatric specialists serving the health and wellness needs of infants, children, adolescents and teens. They currently provide pediatric care to 67,000+ San Diego and Riverside children ages birth through 18. Additionally, by selecting a CPMG physician, your child gains access to Rady Children's Hospital and all of its facilities and specialists. This is priceless to your child's health.
Pediatricians receive three to six years of pediatric training after completing medical school; other physicians receive only three months of pediatric training. Pediatric specialists commit to an additional two to three years of in-depth fellowship training after their four to five years of pediatric residency. During their residency they focus on the clinical and research aspects of their specialty areas.
As a part of their extensive training, pediatricians and pediatric specialists are not only educated and aware of the physical development of children, but also their social and emotional development. They recognize the importance of listening carefully to your child, and to you, so that they may provide appropriate diagnosis and treatment. In addition, they are able to answer your questions about maintaining a healthy lifestyle, preventing injury and illness and guiding you in anticipating your child's needs.
