Antonio Castelan is an award-winning reporter for San Diego 6 News. He was honored with a national Edward R. Murrow award for his coverage of U.S.-Mexico border issues that included interviews with two hit men from the Gulf Cartel.

Antonio also has also won several Regional Edward R. Murrow awards and Associated Press awards, and he received an Emmy nomination.

He's covered many national stories during his career including the Texas A&M bonfire collapse, the 2000 Republican and Democratic National Conventions, Hurricane Katrina, and several other floods, hurricanes, and tornadoes.

Antonio joined the staff of San Diego 6 News just as the disastrous 2007 wildfires broke out. Previously he reported for news stations in San Antonio, Austin, Brownsville, Texas, and Colorado Springs.

Antonio Castelan is a graduate of the University of Michigan.
