Heather Myers is a local native and San Diego 6 News anchor & reporter. "It's true. This really is America's finest city," says Heather.

She brings her passion for storytelling and experiencing new things everyday to San Diego 6 News viewers.

Heather was born in Fallbrook and grew up all over the county. She's lived in Oceanside, Carlsbad, Bonita, Chula Vista and Poway. Heather graduated from Poway High School and headed straight to San Diego State University where she got her degree in journalism.

She interned with Access Hollywood in Burbank before taking a job with KNSD news in San Diego. She got her first on-air experience in Yuma, Arizona where she was a weekend anchor and reporter. She returned to San Diego with KFMB News.

Heather joined San Diego 6 News in November 2007 as a reporter and weeknight co-anchor of San Diego 6 News at 10:00.

Heather has covered some of the biggest stories to affect San Diego and Southern California. She was on the front lines of the 2003 and 2007 wildfires. She also reported from the Mt. Soledad and Laguna Beach landslides.

In her spare time Heather enjoys spending time with her husband, family and friends. "Both of our families live in Southern California and it's great to be so close to everyone."

Heather has walked in the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer 3-Day walk. If she's not walking 60 miles, you will find her reporting from the big event.

She is also a die-hard Charger's fan. During football season you will find her watching the games every Sunday.

She also enjoys working out, reading, and is currently learning to mountain bike.
