Scratching the SURFace in San Diego with Dusty Skellett
Dusty Skellett
Come along with me and I'll take you on a ride through the San Diego surf scene. Each week we'll hang with pro's, check out surfing equipment and talk to the people who make San Diego county part of the historic California surf culture.

My name is Dusty Skellett and I've been an award winning photojournalist for 18 years but my true passion is surfing. The ocean has and will always be my playground. Over the

years I've tried everything from short, long, stand up, kite, wind, and yes, even boogie board wave riding. Even though short boarding is what I like to do, I've found a new infatuation with big wave riding, tow surfing to be exact. I've been training for 3 years now and have so far reached the 30' mark. I'll probably never win the XXL (Biggest Wave Contest) or surf a heat in the ASP but I've found a way to bring these adventures to you.

So join me every Friday on San Diego 6 in the morning.

Thank you, Gracias, Fa'afetai, Terima Kasih, and Mahalo,
--Dusty
