SAN DIEGO - A 15-year-old girl reported being abducted and sexually assaulted by a knife-wielding man in North Park Monday, authorities said.
The teen made an emergency call about noon, describing the assailant as a man in his 20s with short black hair, wearing blue jeans and driving a red car, according to San Diego police.
The girl initially told investigators the man was clean-shaven, then said he had a goatee. She said he approached her about 11:30 a.m., threatened her and ordered her to get into the vehicle.
Following the sex assault, according to the teenager, the man dropped her off in an alley off the 3400 block of Thorn Street. She was taken to Rady Children's Hospital for an exam.
The SDPD Sex Crimes Unit was investigating, police spokeswoman Monica Munoz said.
