LA JOLLA - The video of a college women's soccer fight is raising eyebrows.  It shows a New Mexico player yanking a BYU opponent's hair viciously.  The video has gone viral and is being viewed all over the internet.

In the video, 5'8" New Mexico defender Elizabeth Lambert is shown taking out a Brigham Young player, even pulling on the player's pony tail.

Joe Montoya coaches a girl's club soccer team in La Jolla.  He caught a glimpse of the violent video. Montoya says girls are now resorting to these on-field tactics.

Montoya said the girls think it gives them "advantage...intimidation...get a quick fix on showing a little bit of anger management type of thing."

Before the brutal hair pull, Lambert is seen punching, kicking and bulldozing her way through other BYU players.  It's the type of physical play that took out Montoya's 13-year old daughter in a local game.

"During a game she got tackled from behind.  Normally that is a really dirty play," said Montoya.  "She ended up detaching her ligament.  Now she can't play soccer ever again."

15-year-old Meghan Bailey is used to the roughness on the field.  "The girl's are just mean, so they like to talk back to other girls, and so it's just getting more physical."

Parents like Delphine Ferenczy are taking notice.  Her daughter's soccer coach e-mailed the violent clip to all the player's parents.

"On a lighter side my first thought is, 'I am going to cut my daughter's pony tail,"' said Ferenczy.

Lambert has apologized for her actions and says she regrets what she did.
