TIERRASANTA - Just before 2 a.m. Friday morning, the woman dialed 911 and told dispatchers she was attacked in her home.

After looking into the woman claims, investigators believe the woman fabricated her story, according to San Diego police Lt. Andra Brown.

Officers responded to the emergency call in the 3800-block of Pendiente Court. The woman told them a man forced entry into her home and attacked her.

She told police he knocked on the door and when she opened it, he barged in and wrestled her to the ground, Officers initially said.

At that time, she said her dog named Damien rushed in to help. The combination of the dog and the victim fighting kept her from being raped the woman claimed.

No word if police will press charges against the woman for filing a false police report.
