County Opens New Aquatic Center

The County of San Diego and the YMCA opened a new aquatics center in Rancho San Diego Thursday.

The County of San Diego Aquatics Center is a state of the art facility which will provide a variety of water-based programs and classes for kids and adults, according to YMCA officials.

The center features indoor and outdoor pools, and a water play area with a poolside picnic area. 

"At the YMCA we are all about building and supporting communities," said Rob Sauvajot, Executive Director/Vice President, East County Family YMCA. "We are very grateful to our donors, local businesses, volunteers, elected officials and the community at-large for making this dream a reality. We look forward to seeing this beautiful Aquatic Center being filled with children and families participating in programming that will change lives for the better."

The County of San Diego Aquatics Center is located at the McGrath Family YMCA, 12006 Campo Rd.
