Fire Engulfs 3 Vehicles in Otay Mesa

Fire investigators are trying to figure what caused two cars and a tractor-trailer to catch fire inside an Otay Mesa junk yard Friday.

The fire started around 5 a.m. and fully engulfed all three vehicles, which were parked inside the yard located int he 9000-block of Airway Rd.

The fire department's hazardous materials crew was called to the scene to help with flammable liquids and materials surrounding the vehicles.
