SAN DIEGO (CNS) - Several storms in the northwest Pacific Ocean are bringing big waves to San Diego County today, according to the National Weather Service.

The agency issued a high surf advisory for the region until 2 a.m. Saturday.

Beaches that will be most affected are those from Encinitas to the mouth of the Tijuana River, according to the NWS.

Waves are expected to measure 5 to 7 feet, with sets up to 9 feet, through early Saturday morning.

"Swimming or surfing in these waves may be dangerous for anyone due to the powerful waves and strong rip currents," according to the Weather Service.
