BORREGO SPRINGS, Calif. (AP) -- A small plane crash at a remote Southern California airport has injured one person.

San Diego County sheriff's spokesman Scott Ybarrondo says the pilot of the experimental plane suffered a broken bone. A passenger was not hurt.

The crash occurred during a landing Friday morning at the Agua Caliente airport in the Anza Borrego Desert State Park, about 95 miles east of San Diego.

It was not immediately known where the plane was traveling from.
