SAN DIEGO - Fire broke out in the clubhouse attic of the Black Sabbath Motorcycle Club early Tuesday, causing an estimated $30,000 in damage, authorities said.
The cause of the blaze is under investigation by the Metro Arson Strike Team.
A witness reported about 1:50 a.m. seeing flames shoot out the roof of the one-story building at 4280 Market Street, on the corner of Denby Street in the Mount Hope neighborhood of southeast San Diego, a San Diego Fire-Rescue Department dispatcher said.
Firefighters saw heavy smoke and flames on the roof when they arrived and doused the blaze in less than 20 minutes, he said.
MAST investigators estimated damage at $20,000 to the building and $10,000 to its contents.
