SAN DIEGO - The FBI released two photographs Thursday of an older man believed to be responsible for six bank robberies in San Diego County.
The so-called "Geezer Bandit" struck most recently on Wednesday at San Diego National Bank, 1075 Rosecrans St., when he gave a demand note to a clerk and displayed a silver and black handgun, according to the FBI.
He was described as a man in his 60s, about 6 feet tall and 190 pounds, and wearing a white hooded sweatshirt with a white ball cap.
The photographs from Wednesday's robbery show the man at a counter and walking away, but both images are relatively small and show him at a distance.
Investigators believe the robber has also held up banks La Jolla, Rancho Santa Fe, San Diego and Santee since Aug. 28, according to the FBI.
Three rewards totaling $16,000 have been posted for information leading to the man's arrest and conviction.
