CAMP PENDLETON - A Marine was killed Wednesday in a traffic accident on the grounds of Camp Pendleton.
The collision, which involved a private vehicle and a military Humvee, occurred at Basilone and Las Pulgas roads in the midmorning, according to 1st Marine Division public affairs.
The Marine was driving the passenger car, according to military officials, who declined to release further information, including the victim's gender, age and rank.
The Marine's name was withheld pending family notification.
