SAN DIEGO - Carrie Prejean, the former Miss California USA who became a darling among conservatives when she refused to support same-sex marriage during the Miss USA Pageant, went on Sean Hannity's show Monday night to promote her book and confirm TMZ's report that she made some kind of sex tape when she was a teenager.
Making the tape was the "worst mistake of my life," Prejean repeatedly said. "I was all by myself. I was sending my boyfriend at the time, who I loved and cared about, you know, video of me. I was a teenager at the time and never did I ever think it would come out."
Prejean told Hannity that she is "taking total responsibility for it."

LOS ANGELES — The legal war between former Miss California USA Carrie Prejean and pageant organizers has ended after the alleged discovery of a sex tape involving Prejean.
The legal standoff between Prejean and Miss California USA officials reportedly ended when a Pageant lawyer showed Prejean and her lawyers a sex tape in which she had the starring role.
After being shown the hardcore home video - in which she apparently engages in a solo sex act - Prejean dropped her million-dollar-plus demands, TMZ.com reports, and bolted from the negotiating table.
The San Diego resident and San Diego Christian College student has been at the center of controversy since the night she won the first runner-up position in Donald Trump's Miss USA pageant.
The tape has never been released publicly. TMZ.com didn't show any portions of it on their Web site, after TMZ Managing Editor Harvey Levin said he found it "too racy" to post on his site.
The negotiations war ends with Prejean getting zilch, TMZ.com reports. Pageant officials will reportedly pay her lawyers and a publicist $100K, with nothing going directly to her.
Prejean sued Miss California USA organizers in August for libel, slander and religious discrimination. She accused them of telling her to stop mentioning God even before her controversial remarks against gay marriage.
Prejean was fired in June after pageant officials accused her of missing events, an allegation that she denied. The pageant countersued Prejean last month.
The statement says Prejean and the pageant "wish each other the best in their future endeavors."
The next Miss California USA will be crowned Nov. 22.
