EL CAJON - A former Foothills Christian High School music teacher who sent lewd photos of himself to a 16-year-old female student pleaded guilty on Thursday to a felony charge of sending harmful material with the intent to seduce a minor.

Evan Matthew Stecklair, 26, will receive a probationary sentence at a hearing Oct. 18 at the courthouse in El Cajon, said Deputy District Attorney Stephanie Ly.

Prosecutors said Stecklair text-messaged photos of his private parts to the student in April. After receiving the pictures, the victim told an adult, who called police.

The defendant was arrested May 1 after investigators searched his home, computer and cell phone.

Police said Stecklair was hired at Foothills Christian High in January 2008 but left the school after the allegations arose.
