Escondido - A new Lexus "Super Dealership" is scheduled to open Tuesday December 1st. The 336,000 square foot facility is located at 1205 Auto Park Way.
The three-story building features an indoor fountain, a golf simulator, a library, a flower shop, a kid's zone and an upscale restaurant.
According to the dealership, the third floor entertaining area will be used for weddings and available for large parties.
"This has been in the works for years. This was built to be over the top," says Lexus Escondido General Manager Marc Bechard.
The dealership is expected to attract business from all over the region which is something Escondido City Officials are excited about. "Our car dealerships are the largest contributors to our sales tax revenue. We will make sure this dealership succeeds, because if they succeed, we will too," says Escondido Councilman Dick Daniels.
According to the Dealership, they are still hiring for a few positions.
Lexus Escondido is located off Interstate 15 at the 9th Avenue/ Auto Park Way Exit. Operating hours are Monday through Friday, 8am-9pm. Saturday hours are 8am-6pm and Sunday's sales hours are 10am-6pm.
