SAN DIEGO - Authorities asked the public on Wednesday for help in finding a man wanted in connection with a six-month series of armed commercial robberies.
Joshua Lee Stevenson, 26, is suspected of committing at least seven such holdups in Chula Vista, National City and San Diego since April, according to police.
During the heists, Stevenson and an accomplice allegedly threaten employees with a gun, force them into a back room at the victims' workplaces and bind their wrists behind their backs with zip ties.
One of the bandits then watches over the captives as the other steals video games, phones and various other electronic items, police said.
Stevenson is white, about 5 feet 11 inches tall and 185 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. He has been known to wear a beard.
He is the registered owner of several guns and should be considered armed and dangerous, authorities said.
San Diego County Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to Stevenson's arrest. The nonprofit agency's tip line can be reached at (888) 580-8477. Callers may remain anonymous.
