A junior high teacher, suspected of molesting a junior high student, was arrested Tuesday night in San Diego.
Thirty-eight-year old Craig Edward Kelso, a history teacher at Granger Junior High in National City, was arrested Tuesday night on suspicion of having a sexual relationship with a 15-year old female student.
Kelso hadn't been seen for several days after the molestation allegations came to light, National City police Lt. Craig Boegler said.
The search for Kelso triggered a lockdown Tuesday afternoon at Otay Ranch High School where his wife teaches.
Police say a phone call between Kelso and his wife caused a miscommunication and suspicion that Kelso might arrive at the campus with a gun.
The high school was on lockdown for an hour while helicopters circled and police with guns drawn swarmed the campus. The lockdown ended without incident.
