SAN DIEGO - It took crews about 20 minutes to subdue a fire that engulfed a Valencia Park-area home Monday night.
The non-injury blaze in the 5500 block of Bonita Drive was reported about 5:45 p.m., according to the San Diego Fire-Rescue Department.
Firefighters arrived to find the two-story house fully engulfed in flames, a dispatcher said.
The American Red Cross was called in to help five residents -- two adults and three children -- arrange for interim lodging, she said.
