LA JOLLA - Everything is coming up pink this weekend. More than 3800 women -- and yes, some men -- are putting on their best pink outfit and hitting the streets to raise money for the breast cancer 3-day walk.
"I'm passionate about doing this walk. It's my fourth walk. I'll keep doing it till my legs fall off," says breast cancer survivor Kerri Kirkpatrick.
The walk kicked off on Friday at the Del Mar Race Track and will end up at Petco Park on Sunday. Each day the walkers cover about 20 miles hoping to raise tens of millions of dollars.
The walkers all have personal reasons to drive them to make the walk. Karri Wang is supporting a high school girlfriend who is fighting for her life with stage 4 cancer.
"We still don't have a cure and it's important for us so that our children don't have to out here walking,"says Wang.
Since the walk started six years ago more than 400 million dollars has been raised.
