SAN DIEGO - A waterspout was spotted over Coronado Tuesday shortly after 9:00 a.m.  A Special Marine Warning to alert boaters of possible danger was dropped about a half hour later.

The National Weather Service says thunderstorm and waterspouts are still possible over coastal waters through Wednesday morning due to an unstable air mass over the area.
