UPDATE: Andy has been adopted!   To learn more about other adoptable animals, contact the San Diego Animal Support Foundation at www.SDShelters.com.

Andy's a 4-year-old neutered male Terrier/Poodle mix available for adoption at the Escondido Humane Society.

He's a well behaved dog who listens to your every command.  He is smart, eager to please, and knows the basic commands.  He enjoys being outside in the warm sunshine and will sit nicely at the door when he wants to come back in the house.  He stays peacefully in his crate when his foster family leaves the house for brief periods of time, and sleeps soundly at the foot of their bed.

Andy has a sweet gentle soul, and doesn't need to be fussed over.  He's very friendly with other dogs and loves a good belly-rub. He's available through the shelter's foster program, and his adoption fee is just $25 in January and includes neuter, microchip, vet exam, vaccinations and a wellness exam after adoption.

If you aren't ready to adopt, please consider fostering an animal in need. It doesn't cost you anything, and all materials and training are provided. The Escondido Humane Society is located at 3450 E. Valley Parkway in Escondido, open from 10 to 5 every day. You can call them at (760) 594-7605.

And don't forget to mark your calendars for the Escondido Humane Society's Valentine's Day Pet Portraits from 10am to 4pm, on February 4th. Have your pets' photos taken just in time to create Valentine's Day cards for the animal lovers in your life!
