Freyja: Friday Adoption Pet 2/17/12

Tools

By San Diego 6 News Desk

This beautiful brindle girl, Freyja, will be six years old in April.  She arrived at the Greyhound Adoption Center in December, with 14 other Greyhounds from the racetrack in Caliente, Mexico.  It should be noted that the Greyhounds used for racing at this track are all American born and bred.

She’s named after Freyja, the mythical Norse Goddess of love, beauty and destiny. She loves people, including children.  However, she needs a home without cats or small dogs.  She's a loving, outgoing greyhound who enjoys long walks.

All dogs have a complete medical evaluation, are altered, vaccinated, have a dental cleaning, are microchipped and evaluated for temperament and personality.

This weekend, the Greyhound Adoption Center is having an Open House on Sunday, February 19th, from 1pm to 3pm at 4821 Dehesa Rd., in El Cajon.  You can meet all 40 adoptable dogs, tour the facility and learn more about greyhound rescue and adoption. Call 877-Houndsavers (478-8364) for more information or visit HoundSavers.org.
