By San Diego 6 News Desk

UPDATE:  Puppers has been adopted!   To learn more about other adoptable animals, contact the San Diego Animal Support Foundation at www.SDShelters.com.

Puppers is available for adoption from the El Cajon Animal Shelter where she was brought after her beloved owner died.  According to the family, he was an elderly gentleman who treated Puppers like she was his own daughter.  She was loved and treated well.

She's an indoor dog, and completely housebroken and she's very well-behaved inside.  Puppers gets along well with other dogs and will be fine with kids.  She stands in her kennel all day watching and waiting for someone to come pick her up.  It's been a month.  It's tough for an 8 year old Pit Bull to compete for attention, but hopefully someone will drive over to the shelter today just to meet this sweet lady, and give her a second chance.

Please visit Puppers at the El Cajon Animal Shelter, located at 1275 N. Marshall Street, open from 10am to 5:30pm Tuesday through Saturday.  You can call (619) 579-3375 for more information.

Puppers' ID number is 10989, and her adoption fee is just $30, and includes spay, vaccinations, microchip and health tests.
