Daily look at Tim Tebow in Jets training camp
CORTLAND, N.Y. (AP) — A look at Tim Tebow's day at New York Jets training camp:
TEBOW TIME: As he has all camp so far, Tebow worked with the second-string offense, and lined up as the punt protector on special teams Monday. The Jets still have not worked on anything out of the wildcat package.
HOW'D HE DO?: Tebow had his best day of training camp Monday, unofficially going 4 for 6 with a sack in team drills. He heard it from offensive coordinator Tony Sparano on one incompletion — a deep pass to Chaz Schilens — for not checking down. The highlight came on a 25-yard scramble that got the crowd of 1,820 fired up.
TEBOWMANIA: Stephen A. Smith, Hugh Douglas and Skip Bayless of ESPN's "First Take" debated for nearly 7 minutes about whether it was a problem that Tebow ran shirtless through the rain off the practice field Saturday.
TALKING TEBOW: "My shirt felt like 20 pounds. ... I didn't think y'all would be filming it and taking pictures." — Tebow on the commotion caused by his shirtless run through the rain.
