SAN DIEGO (AP) — The Coast Guard plans a memorial service Friday morning for seven members who died in a collision with a Marine helicopter near San Diego last week.

The Coast Guard said Wednesday the ceremony will be held at Air Station Sacramento, where the crew of the C-130 was based. The service will be closed to the public but transmitted live over the Internet.

The plane with seven people onboard was searching for a missing boater when it collided Thursday night with a Marine Corps AH-1W Super Cobra helicopter on a training exercise. The helicopter's two-man crew also died. A Marine spokesman, Maj. Jay Delarosa, said a memorial was not yet scheduled.

A joint Marines-Coast Guard board is investigating the cause of the crash.
